I had many sales reps who worked for me when i worked at the national ACF paver installaion co, and you may have heard them brag that they worked for me at ACF. I allowed to use this "standard for the home improvement industry" method of sales. EXAMPLE: if the average driveway is 1,000 sq ft for a entry level paver stone completely installed on the sales reps "NET SHEET" this is the price sheet companies give to sales reps with the info on how low they are allowed to sell the type stone installed for and also the net sheet gives the sales reps the commision earned a normal 5% earned commision on the signed deal at that lowest allowable price on the net sheet. HOWEVER, Sales reps are "MOTIVATED" by money, this means any dollar per sq ft they can "up sale" the job to you the client over the net sheet low, that you the customer "is not" aware of, is a 50%/50% (split) between the sales rep and the company. lets say this exact same $8.00 per sq ft driveway the sales rep is able excite you enough to sell to you for $12.00 per sq ft, that means the sales rep "up sold" his job by $4.00 per sq ft (over the $8.00 the lowest allowed to sell) so on the 1,000 sq ft driveway thats sales rep earned 50% of the $4,000 and thats $2,000.00 upsale plus his normal 5% on the $8.00 per sq ft of $400.00 so he earned total $2,400.00 on your deal. So now you know why my competitors and former sales reps that worked for me in the past when i worked for ACF and are now working for other paver installation co's are having issues with my pricing. I am eliminating the middle man mark up and selling direct to the public. And yes we have workers compensation and general liabilty insurance its all covered in the $8.00 per sq ft. and YOU PAY $0 UNTILL YOUR PROJECT IS COMPLETED! (PROJECTS TO $15,000 and $15,000+ no payemnts till 50% project completion in most cases.)
